What is "New British Comics" ?
Ah, excellent question! "New British Comics" is a comic anthology publishing, well, new british comics! Shocking, we know! "New British Comics", or NBC as we like to call it, is published in two editions: English and Polish. That's right - two languages, two editions, one set of contents. The second issue features 15 strips, by 19 different contributors, all packed into 84 astounding pages!
Is it good?
NBC #1 was very well received by the press (you can check the reviews here) and was awarded Fanzine of the Month in SFX. I can say with all my confidence that NBC #2 will be one of the best anthologies you will read in this year or maybe even in your entire life.
Where can I get it?
In NBC #2 is available from Braw Books and SmallZone.co.uk - both shops ship items internationally. The list of Polish stockists is here.

Dan White
thebeastmustdie@hotmail.co.uk www.milkthecat.wordpress.com
Dan White is a comic artist and illustrator working in London. Some nights he transforms into an eleven foot werewolf. But it’s OK because he prefers sushi to human flesh.
He also creates the popular weekly webcomic ‘Terminus’ for the Mindless Ones comics blog (www.mindlessones.com). You can check his blog out here: http://milkthecat.wordpress.com.

Dave Thomson
dave@thirdart.co.uk www.thirdart.co.uk
Dave is a freelance illustrator from Scotland who spends far too much time drawing and not enough sleeping. He strongly believes the source of his power comes from his hair and refuses to cut it. Recently he fulfilled on of his life’s ambitions by having Simon Bisley sign a part of his body and call him nasty names.

Paweł Gierczak
paw76@vp.pl www.pawelgierczak.blogspot.com
Pawel Gierczak was born in Poland. He loves this country with all his heart and to emphasize that he swears like a trooper. Claims he can draw… although he abandoned art school after they almost kicked him anyway. He lives with the most wonderful girlfriend in the world, love her very much and doesn’t really care about much else. Most likely right now he’s creatively conjuring things with a sour expression and gritted teeth, insulted by the whole wide world.

WJC
warwickjohnsoncadwell.blogspot.com
I’ve been drawing and making up stories as far as I can remember. Worked for two years in a comic shop getting paid in comics until I was sick of the sight of them then did a three year degree in illustration where I fell back in love with them again. I work mainly as an editorial illustrator, as well as driving boats and other day jobs. Lives Happily on the south coast of England with his family.

Tony Hitchman

Tony Hitchman spent most of his childhood reading any comic he could get his hands on (except war comics). He became fascinated with super heroes, finding the idea of gaining fantastic powers with very little effort particularly appealing. To this end he memorised the Green Lantern oath and practiced it with a Pifco cycle lamp just in case any spacecraft containing dying aliens with power rings crashed into the back gardens of the flat at Portland Road. Sadly they didn’t, so he got a day job and now lives with his wife, two teenagers and an awful lot of comics - and in his spare time he writes war comics.
